Mrs. Ramona Tiegs

Pre-Kindergarten – 4 Teacher

Ramona Tiegs is from Berkeley Springs and graduated from Heritage Academy. She is married to Kurt, who serves on the school board. All 3 of their daughters graduated from Faith. She has been involved with Faith for 29 years.

Ramona has a 2 year Bible degree and a Preschool Associate Credential through Liberty University. This is her 13th year teaching in the Pre-K classroom. She was an aid in the classroom for 7 years before she began teaching.

“I feel this is where the Lord wants me to be and I consider it a privilege to work at FCA with young children. I love teaching them new concepts and watching them discover more about the world around them.”

Mrs. Amy Keppley

Kindergarten Teacher

Amy Keppley grew up in Spring City, Pennsylvania and graduated from Chapel Christian Academy. She went on to attend Appalachian Bible College where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and Missions. She married shortly after college and moved to Charleston, Illinois, where her husband was a youth pastor.

She taught at Calvary Christian Academy in Illinois for three years until she and her husband felt God leading them to move back east. Mrs. Keppley began teaching Kindergarten at Faith Christian Academy in 2003. Amy and her husband, Brock, are now the proud parents of three boys.

“God has a way of changing our desires as we grow in Him. As a college student I was headed to the mission field, but God had a different plan for me – He wanted me to teach. I believe that teaching in a Christian school is a special ministry. I am excited that I can have a part in children’s lives, impacting them with the truth of Jesus’ love and encouraging them to share it with others. It is a privilege that I can pass on my burden for missions to a whole new generation. I am looking forward to the ways that God will use me this year at Faith Christian Academy.”

Mrs. Kim Pryseski

First Grade Teacher

Mrs. Pryseski grew up in Monrovia, Maryland.  She attended Frostburg State University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  She married her husband Grant directly after college and worked with adults with Autism as a Vocational Counselor.

Mrs. Pryseski and her husband have two children, Kourtney and Connor. Kourtney is a 2015 graduate of Faith.  Mrs. Pryseski’s husband Grant is a board member at F.C.A.  Mrs. Pryseski began teaching at Faith Christian Academy in 2007.

“I am blessed to be able to have the opportunity to teach in a Christian school where I am able to share the goodness of the Lord with the children each day.  I enjoy working with children and I am grateful to be here at Faith Christian Academy!”

Mrs. Lisa Peifer

Second Grade Teacher

Mrs. Peifer grew up in Maryland.  She attended Hood College and received a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Art. She is married to Tom Peifer and they have 3 boys: William graduated from Faith in 2014 and Derek in 2015.  Tommy her youngest will graduate in 2018.

After being saved in 2000, Mrs. Peifer felt led to teach in a Christian school. She has been teaching in Christian schools since 2002.

“I thank the Lord everyday for my family at home as well as at school! I know God has called me to teach children and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to teach God’s word to tender hearts everyday!”

Ms. Wanda Bradshaw

Third Grade Teacher

Miss Bradshaw began teaching at Faith in 2006.  She is a Martinsburg native.  She received Christ as her personal Savior when she was 11 years old.  She graduated from Martinsburg Christian Academy.  She attended college in Indiana where she received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees.  She has taught various grade levels and worked with a variety of inner-city youth ministries in Long Beach, California.  In 2010 she received a Certificate in Autism from Regent University.

Ms. Fran Stoddard

Fourth Grade Teacher

Fran Stoddard grew up in Kansas and received both her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and master’s degree in special education from Kansas State University.  She taught students with autism and severe behavior disorders for 13 years.  All 3 of her children attended FCA, beginning in 2000.  Her 2 youngest graduated from FCA in 2013 and 2014.

Ms. Stoddard started teaching 4th grade at FCA in 2007.  Her favorite part of teaching is to watch her students grow more and more in love with Jesus.  ”Fourth grade is a wonderful age.  These students are so fun, and really change and grow during the course of the school year. I pray continually that God will use me to meet the needs and touch the lives and hearts of the students entrusted to me.”

Mrs. Kelly Michael

Fifth Grade Teacher

Mrs. Michael grew up in Berkeley Springs, WV.  She graduated from Shepherd University with a degree in Elementary Education and later earned a master’s degree in education from West Virginia University.  She worked in the Morgan County school system before starting a family.  Mrs. Michael’s husband, Jeff, serves as a board member at FCA.  The Michaels’ have three sons who have graduated from FCA:  Jacob in 2010, Joseph in 2013, and Jared in 2016.  Mrs. Michael began teaching at Faith in 2005.

“I consider it a privilege to teach at Faith.  Having the opportunity to help students grow spiritually and academically is a blessing.”

Mr. Bryan DeOms

Elementary Computer Pre-K – 5th grade

Mr. DeOms graduated from James Wood High School in Frederick County, Virginia.  He attended Shenandoah University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration.  After marrying his wife, Kendra, they moved to the Washington DC area where he worked for a company in the nuclear fuel business before becoming a full-time stay-at-home dad for his children:  Ben, Tyler, and Amanda.  During that time, Mr. DeOms received his Master of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University.  Mr. DeOms and his wife eventually moved to Martinsburg to escape the city life and get back closer to their families.  When his children all became school age, Mr. DeOms began teaching for Berkeley County Schools before joining Faith Christian Academy in 2012.

“God has truly blessed my life.  I consider teaching at Faith as one of the many blessings God has granted me.  It is a privilege for me to be teaching at Faith and being able to influence and have a positive impact on the students.”

Ms. Jennifer Mann

Elementary Music Pre-K – 1st grade

Ms. Jennifer Mann has three sons.  Her eldest two have graduated from Faith and Shepherd University. The third son, Brady, is in middle school.  Mrs. Mann was born and raised in Martinsburg, WV.  After graduating from Heritage Academy in Maryland, she received her bachelor’s degree from Covenant College in Lookout Mt., Georgia.  This is her 27th  year of teaching at Faith. She has taught children in every grade of the school.  She is currently teaching  6th and 7th grade math and elementary music.

“As a graduate from a Christian high school and college, I am committed to Christian education.  I am thankful for the opportunity to share my faith and encourage young people in their walk with Christ.  Music is one of the greatest gifts God has given us and I have the privilege of enjoying it every day as I teach for Him.”

Mrs. Sheri Cooper

Elementary Art & Elementary Library

Sheri Cooper was raised in Damascus, MD.  She graduated from Damascus High School where her father taught shop and drafting.  She now lives in Jefferson County with husband.  Mrs. Cooper is the librarian at FCA and teaches art.

She has a Regents Bachelors of Arts degree with an emphasis in library science from Shepherd University and is working on her Masters of Education degree from Cedarville University

Mrs. Abby Hill

Elementary Physical Education Pre-K – 5th grade

Mrs. Abby Hill grew up in Petersburg, WV.  She earned her black belt in Jhoon Rhee Tae Kwon Do at the age of nine.  She attended Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA and played basketball her freshman year.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education and a minor in Coaching.  She married her husband Mike directly after college and moved to Martinsburg.  She taught elementary PE for six years in the Frederick County, VA public school system.  Mrs. Hill and her husband have two daughters, Kiersten and Kari.

Her favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Mr. Jason Crawford

Elementary Music 2nd -4th grade & Beginning Band/Strings 5th grade

Jason Crawford is our Band/Orchestra Director who also teaches Bible and music at FCA.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from Alderson-Broaddus College (now Alderson-Broaddus University) in Philippi, West Virginia and a master’s degree in composition from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.  In his long and varied career, Jason has been an inner-city public school music teacher, a Christian school educator, an assistant pastor, a minister of music, a private lesson instructor, and even a collegiate instructor of music theory and composition. He is an accomplished pianist, percussionist, conductor, composer, arranger, producer, clinician, educator, and worship leader.  Mr. Crawford is also the minister of music at Westview Baptist Church in Martinsburg.  He and his wife Anna live in Martinsburg, and their three children all attend FCA.

“The Lord has moved me around many times in service to Him, and I’ve been privileged over the years to serve in ministry and to teach in several schools,” Mr. Crawford explains.  “Faith Christian Academy is by far the best school I’ve ever been associated with in any way. My earnest prayer is that God will allow me the honor of serving on this staff for many happy years to come. I want to build into the lives of young people by delivering educational and musical excellence while encouraging them to be all they can be for the glory of God alone.”

Mrs. Karla Macias

Foreign Language (Pre-K through 5th grade)

Mrs. Macias was born and raised in El Paso, Texas.  She attended the University of Texas at El Paso and received a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a major in Early Childhood Education and a Bilingual certification.

Mrs. Macias grew up in a Christian home where her grandfather was a pastor.  Her heart has always been tugged toward serving God and teaching.  “I am passionate about planting seeds in children’s hearts that will grow and multiply – a hundred, sixty or thirty fold what was sown.”

After graduating from the University, God called her to be home with her children.   Her family began the journey of homeschooling.  She has also taught in Christian private schools, worked part-time in a public school and has been a substitute.

Mrs. Macias resides in Inwood, WV with her husband and 3 daughters.   She feels blessed to have this opportunity to teach children and freely minister to children of all ages.
