I love helping students take personal responsibility for the application of Biblical and musical knowledge discovered together. I am happy to teach facts and skills, but I am overjoyed when facts and skills are used wisely in practical application; this sets students on the path toward Biblical maturity and musical greatness. Teaching students how to be successful is important to me.

Teaching is about life change.  When the students leave my class during the day or at the end of the year, they should be different than when they walked in.  The ability to see growth and change in students is what gets me pumped about teaching...that and coffee.

My favorite part of teaching is modeling for students how to develop a biblical world and life view so that after they leave the classroom, they are prepared to interact with God’s world in a manner that will make them lights to the world.

I am from Tuscumbia, Alabama. I love to travel (I did my student teaching in Cologne, Germany). I love to spend time outdoors kayaking and hiking. 
Family: I have three younger brothers, and one is married with my niece, the light of my life. ;) I am very close to all of my family.
