Pastor Bill Long
Before Care Aid & Bus Driver

Pastor Bill Long was born and raised in the Flint, Michigan area.  He graduated from Clio High School and worked 3 years for General Motors.

Then he attended Spurgeon Baptist Bible College in Mulberry, Florida and graduated with a degree in Pastoral Theology.  After marrying his wife, Rose, he served as an associate pastor and junior high Bible teacher at a church and Christian school in Florida.  He then became pastor at Galilean Baptist Church in Shepherdstown and has been there for eighteen years.  They had 2 children before Rose passed away due to cancer.  He later married his present wife, Christa, who had been the Kindergarten teacher at FCA until they had another child.  Pastor Long has served in various capacities at Faith and is currently driving the bus for the school.

“I am very grateful that God has provided for us to have our children enrolled here at Faith.  They have been and continue to be influenced to have a passion for God and to excel academically.  ‘To whom much has been given, much shall be required.’  I have also enjoyed the opportunities the Lord has opened for me to serve Him here at Faith.  The lower elementary students are fun to work with, but they are also a challenge.  It is good to observe them taking ‘bus etiquette’ seriously.”
