Spring Concert:  Mark your calendar and plan to attend our spring concert in the Falcon Gymnasium!

Thursday May 25th @ 7:00 — Falcon Band and Orchestra Concert

Spring Concert Offering:  The offering taken at the spring concerts will go toward the cost of replacing the classroom lighting with LED lights. The cost to replace the lighting in each classroom is $400.  We collected $1,200 at last Thursday’s concert.  Please be sure to put a memo on your check if you are donating toward a particular classroom.

Awards Chapels:  Academic awards will be presented to students during chapel on Friday, May 26th.  Elementary chapel begins at 8:05 and MS/HS chapel will begin at 9:46.

Pizza Lunch:  There will be pizza lunch the last week of school.

Chick-fil-A Lunch:  This is the last week for Chick-fil-A lunch. There will be No orders for the last week of school.

Panda Express:  This is the last week for Panda Express lunches.  There will be No orders for the last week of school.

Final Exam Schedule:  Final exams have been scheduled for May 30th thru June 1st from 8:05- 12.  This is a half day for high school students only. The schedule of exams is posted in RenWeb.

2016 Beta Club Members:  Congratulations to the following students for being inducted into the Beta Club for 2017: Patrick Boehler, Victoria Canfield, Kennedy Cupp, Cody Dunham, Mikayla Hamrick, Adam Johnson, Luke Kim, Bradley Kisner, Yejun Lee, Brady Mann, Joyce McComb, Thomas Peifer and Connor Pryseski.

Last Day of School:  Thursday, June 1st is the last day of school and it is a full day for all students in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth.

Summer Office Hours:  The school office will be open Monday-Thursday from 8-3 and closed on Friday’s.  The office will be closed the week of July 3rd thru 6th.

Summer Child Care:  If you are interested in child care for the summer please refer to the emails being sent for students ages 5-11. Registration is now open to all FCA students of these ages. Those emails contain all of the details needed to register.

Lost & Found:  Did you misplace something this year??  We found it.  Check out the lost and found in the school lobby area.  Items that are not claimed by May 26th will be donated.

Library Happenings:  All Library books are due by May 24th. Library Reminder notices will be sent out on May 25th.

Basketball Camp:  Camp registration is now open.  Click here for more information.  Camp dates are June 12th-16th at the FCA Gymnasium with Coach Hobbs.  Our camp is open to the public, so don’t forget to bring a friend!

FCA Movie Night:  The FCA Interact Club will sponsoring a movie night on the soccer field once a month over the summer break.  Our first movie night is Saturday, June 17th at 7PM – Despicable Me 1.  The Interact Club will have the concession stand open for refreshments to be purchased. They are also accepting gently used clothing that will be donated to the Women’s Shelter.  We will have a short devotion lead by Landon Salesky followed by the movie,  This is a free event to attend (children are to be supervised by an adult).  We encourage you to come out and fellowship over the summer break to stay connected to your FCA Family!

Carpool Request 1:  Rebecca Tiffany Rayburn, a graduate of FCA, will be bringing her daughter here for kindergarten and is looking to carpool. She lives between Charles Town and Harpers Ferry.  If you interested in carpooling, give her a call at 304-268-4139.

Putt-A-Thon:  A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered and prayed! Our grand total is $25,400!  Thank you again for your faithful support of our school!

Thursday May 18th @ 1:30 — Choir and Elementary Spring Concert

Thursday May 25th @ 7:00 — Falcon Band and Orchestra Concert

Parents are invited to attend a special concert this Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium. The PK-2nd grade students and the secondary choir will be singing several songs.  The 3rd and 4th graders will be playing their recorders and singing.  A special offering will be taken and parent volunteers will be recognized.  All students are permitted to dress up in their Sunday best for this concert.  Parents may sign their child(ren) out after the concert.  Please plan to join us.

Mentoring:  Wednesday, May 17, will be our last mentoring day of the school year.  Mentors will eat lunch with their elementary buddies on the school playground.  All elementary students are encouraged to bring a beach blanket. The elementary students really enjoy the interaction with their MS/HS mentors, and we appreciate the time they have invested in the younger children!

Track & Field:  A great day at the ACSI Northeast Regional Championships! Middle School Girls finish 2nd, Middle School Boys 3rd and Varsity Girls 2nd. Great job Falcons!!!  Click here to read the full results.

Putt-A-Thon: The Lord provided a great day for us yesterday for our annual Putt-A-Thon! Our grand total right now is $18,000. There is still time to donate online. http://www.faithchristianacademy.myevent.com/ or you can drop off a check at the office. Dress down begins Monday, May 15th. Remember the guidelines for student dress down. Thank you to everyone who generously donated to our event and for those who came out to volunteer. A special thank you to Dominic Brinkley and Summer Hartley for capturing memories of our day!

Principal for the day: At the auction parents and students had the opportunity to bid on “Principal for the day”. On Wednesday, May 10th we will have a new elementary principal for the day – Mr. Zachary Dugger and for the middle and high school – Mr. Luke Jones. Both Dugger and Jones voted to declare Wednesday, May 10th as a dress down day with hats! Students will be allowed to dress down and yes even wear hats! Remember the guidelines for dressing down.

Spirit Night: Chick-fil-A Spirit Night to benefit FCA Class of 2018 on Thursday, May 11 from 5-8. Mention FCA when you order and the Junior Class will receive 20% of sales. Thanks for your support!

Track & Field:   Middle School track meet update, Faith competed against five large public schools on a rain soaked track last Friday night. Only the top six finishers in each event received medals in this very talented field of athletes. Connor Smith brought home 2nd in the high jump and 3rd in the long jump. Noah Cupp took 6th in the 800 with a very good run. Olivia Bates took 6th in the hurdles, Emily Hott had a personal best in the discus and took 5th. Emma Thompson ran her first two mile race this season and took 5th. Thanks to all the families that endured the rain.

Sicknesses: In an effort to clear up the germs and viruses, we are asking that if your child experiences any of the following symptoms to please keep them home for the day. Symptoms include: Runny nose with yellow/green discharge, nausea/vomiting, sore throat, chills or fever, diarrhea or any other conditions that might be contagious. A student should be fever free for 24 hours (without medication) before returning back to school.
