School Picture Retakes:  Retakes will be taken on Tuesday, October 17th. Students may “DRESS UP” on picture day.  This means if a student chooses not to wear the school uniform, they must at least follow the guidelines of our uniform code (i.e. dress pants and collared shirts/blouses required for grades 6-12, no t-shirts for any grades).  Students are expected to dress modestly (no tight fitting or low cut clothing, and skirts must come within three inches of the knee).

Square 1 Art:  Students grade Pre-K through 5th participate in this unique fundraiser every year.  It’s a wonderful way to capture your student’s artistic talent!  Your students catalog was sent home last week.

Don’t forget to order cool gifts for that special family member or hard-to-buy for person.  With over 40 unique and useful keepsakes ready to purchase during the Square 1 Art fundraiser, your child’s artwork is the perfect gift for any occasion or celebration.  These are the final days of the fundraiser, so don’t delay.  The school benefits with every order!  Last Day to Order: 10/25/17

Falcon Recap:  The MS teams did a great job competing in their tournament this past week. The MS boys lost two close games, both 2-1 finishing in 4th place. The MS girls lost Fri evening and then won Sat afternoon beating CVCS 2-0 and finishing 3rd. The varsity tournament seedings are now set. Our schedule will be:

Middle School Fall Social:  Friday, October 27th, in the gym from 5pm to 8pm.  Cost per student is $5.00.  School dress down guidelines are to be followed.  Tickets can be purchased in the school office through, Tuesday, October 24th.  This activity is sponsored by the Faith Family Fellowship.

35th Anniversary:  On November 4th, we are having our 35th Anniversary celebration at the Holiday Inn in Martinsburg.  The invitations are being mailed today. The dress is business casual with a touch of flare.  We would love to have everyone join us!  Christian Caine has graciously donated a piece of jewelry to be given away that evening.  Cost per person is $10.  Please RSVP by October 30th by calling the office 304-263-0011.

Traffic Flow:  Be sure to follow the traffic flow pattern indicated on the map in order to keep dismissal running smoothly and for the safety of our students.  Please keep your pickup number displayed until your child gets in your vehicle so we know where to direct the students.  If your child needs to be strapped into a car seat or booster seat, please pull forward into an open space out of the traffic flow and strap in the seat.  This will keep the traffic flowing.  If you have a very young child, you may want to consider pulling in the lane next to the school so that your child does not have to cross in front of other vehicles.
