Voice of Faith September 12, 2017

Drop/Add Classes:  High school students can drop or add classes through Friday, September 29th.

Haitian Orphan Choir: The Haitian Orphan choir is performing on Friday, September 15th.

We will be taking an offering to help them with their expenses over the next two weeks in homeroom. Students can bring in cash or a check. Checks should be made payable to FCA with a note on the memo line for the Haitian Orphan Choir.

Donate! Give Your Shoes New LIfe: Help us reach souls through soles. Donate your good, used shoes for people in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Types of shoes: sneakers, sandles, even soccer cleates. Sasha Salesky and his Mom will be traveling to Haiti for a missions trip . Help us gather 500 pairs of shoes to send with them! Shoes can be dropped off in the boxes in the breezeway area at Faith Christian Academy (this is the space between the school and the gym with the glass doors).

School Pictures: Individual School Pictures will be taken on Wednesday, September 20th. Students may “DRESS UP” on picture day. This means if a student chooses not to wear the school uniform, they must at least follow the guidelines of our uniform code (i.e. dress pants and collared shirts/blouses required for grades 6-12, no t-shirts for any grades). Students are expected to dress modestly (no tight fitting or low cut clothing, and skirts must come within three inches of the knee).

Praying For the Cure: On Friday, September 22nd, students, FCA employees, and parents are encouraged to wear PINK to show their support for cancer patients and survivors. Cancer patients and survivors will receive free admission at the gates. At 4:45PM, all cancer patients and survivors will be asked to come out on the soccer field where the student body and FCA families will gather around them for a time of prayer. Our goal is to encourage those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Everyone is encouraged to wear PINK. There is no charge for the Dress Down. Students must wear pink in order to dress down. School dress down guidelines are expected to be followed. Games that evening will be against Cumberland Valley. Come out to the games in your PINK and support our teams as well as show your support for cancer patients and survivors.

PSAT Testing: PSAT in the school gym for sophomores & freshman – Oct 11th at 8:05AM

Traffic Flow:  Be sure to follow the traffic flow pattern indicated on the map in order to keep dismissal running smoothly and for the safety of our students.  Please keep your pick up number displayed until your child gets in your vehicle so we know where to direct the students.  If your child needs to be strapped into a car seat or booster seat, please pull forward into an open space out of the traffic flow and strap in the seat.  This will keep the traffic flowing.  If you have a very young child, you may want to consider pulling in the lane next to the school so that your child does not have to cross in front of other vehicles.
