Board of Directors

The policy making group of FCA is its Board of Directors. Qualifications for membership to the board of Directors are:
- All members of the Board of Directors shall be actively involved in the ministry of FCA for at least one year and be current members of the Association.
- All Board members shall have the necessary competencies to credibly discharge the responsibilities of the office of a director.
- All members of the Board of Directors shall be faithful members in good standing in one of the area’s fundamental churches.
- Each board member shall subscribe in writing that he/she is in full and complete agreement with Articles II and III of this constitution. If at any time the board member no longer agrees with Articles II and III of this constitution, he/she will voluntarily withdraw from the board of directors.
Board members serve on one or more of the following standing committees:
- Finance Committee
- Building Committee
- Education Committee
- Development and Public Relations Committee
- Spiritual Life Committee
Board Member Bios
Mr. Grant Pryseski – Chairman
Mr Pryseski works for the regional Corporate office of Subway Restaurants where he oversees the training of Corporate staff and Franchisees. Mr Pryseski and his wife Kimberly, who teaches first grade at FCA, have two children attending FCA: Kourtney and Connor. Mr Pryseski currently serves on the Development and Public Relations committee. The Pryseski’s are members at Fellowship Bible Church in Shenandoah Junction, WV.
“Kim and I always desired to send our kids to a Christian school. But we found so much more than just a Christian school here at Faith Christian Academy. We found Faculty and Staff not only dedicated to teaching a Biblical worldview, but partnering with us in reinforcing the Christian values and personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ to our kids.”
Mr. Neil McLaughlin – Vice Chairman
Mr. McLaughlin has served on the board as a member of the Land Search Committee and the Building Committee. He is the President of the War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, WV. He and his wife, Susan, have one daughter (Maura) who graduated from Faith. Mr. McLaughlin says,
“Our daughter has been in Christian schools since the first grade. They have been powerfully influential in her spiritual development. FCA has brought friends and fellowship that have enriched her life and connected our family to many others in a special way.”
Mrs. Loriann Main – Treasurer
Mrs. Main joined the board in 2010 and also currently serves on the Finance Committee. She is the wife of Charlie Main. The Mains attend Connections Community Church. Mr. & Mrs. Main have one child at Faith. Tyler has attended Faith since 1st grade. Mrs. Main is a Registered Nurse at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg and works with Veterans that have returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. She considers it an honor to serve those who have bravely served our great country.
“I love our school! There are so many wonderful things I could say about it. If I had to choose my favorite thing, it would be that each morning as we drop our son off at school, we feel that we are leaving him with family. I love the kids at Faith and I know that my son also experiences being loved and cared for by both staff and other parents. We consider it a privilege and a blessing to be part of the Faith Family!”
Mr. Rob Spiker
Rob was born and raised in Martinsburg. He is a graduate of Musselman High School and Shepherd University with a BS in Economics and Business Administration. Rob and his wife Christa have two children, Ryan (6) and Emma (3). Ryan is currently a 1st grader at Faith and Emma starts pre-kindergarten in the fall of 2015. Rob accepted Jesus as his Savior at age 23 and now serves at Independent Bible Church on the praise team and deacon board. Rob is a multiple line insurance agent with the American National Family of Companies.
Mr. Kurt Tiegs
Mr. Tiegs serves on the Building Committee. He attends Independent Bible Church. His wife, Ramona, is the Pre-K teacher. They have three children that graduated from Faith and then went on to graduate from college. Mr. Tiegs co-owns Alio Home Improvements and Mountaineer Kitchens and Baths. Mr. Tiegs Says,” FCA has been a blessing to our family in many ways. I am thankful for the Biblical world-view that is taught and teachers that have been more than just teachers to our girls, they have been their mentors.”
Mr. Jeff Michael
Mr. Michael serves as the chair of the Building Committee. Mr. Michael attends Independent Bible Church. He and his wife Kelly (5th grade teacher) have 2 boys attending FCA: Joseph, and Jared. A third son, Jacob, graduated from Faith in 2010 and is now attending WVU.
“At FCA my wife and I know that our children are receiving a quality education based upon Biblical principals. They also benefit socially from the Christian atmosphere at the school.”
Rev. Bryan Dugger
Rev. Dugger joined the board in 2010. He and his wide Lydia came to Faith Christian Academy in 2009. They have two children enrolled at Faith. Rev. Dugger is the Associate Pastor at West View Baptist Church in Martinsburg and currently serves on the board’s Spiritual Life Committee.
Mr. Randy Lewis
Mr. Lewis joined the board in June of 2011 as the only new member this year. He and his wife Kay Lewis attend Fellowship Bible Church in Charles Town. Mr. & Mrs. Lewis have had two daughters graduated from Faith and have two sons still enrolled. Mr. Lewis works for Main Street Martinsburg and is very active in community events. Mr. Lewis serves on the Development and Public Relations Committee.
“My Wife and I have four children, and all four attended or do attend Faith Christian Academy. We have had 2 that graduated and went on to a Christian college. The fact that Faith is a smaller school does not affect the excellent education our children receive. The fact that it is based on Biblical principles is even more important. Faith has prepared our children spiritually and socially to be productive members of society.”
Mr. Brent Pitzer
Mr. Pitzer joined the board in June of 2013 as the only new member this year. He and his wife Tammy attend Fellowship Bible Church. Mr. & Mrs. Pitzer have one son and one daughter who attend Faith. Mr. Pitzer works for United Bank in Martinsburg and is very active in community events. Mr. Pitzer serves on the Development and Public Relations Committee.
Mr. Jeff Dugger
Jeff was born and raised in Martinsburg. After attending college in Philadelphia, he and his wife, Chrissy, returned to raise their two sons. Zachary and Maxwell both attend FCA. Jeff accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 8 and now serves at Westview Baptist Church as a deacon, high school Sunday school teacher, and sound tech. Jeff has a BS in Biomedical Engineering and an MBA in Entrepreneurship. He is employed at Trex in Winchester as a Senior Manager of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
Mrs. Melissa Bates
Mrs. Bates is a Berkeley County resident. She is married to Dennis Bates and they have two children, Olivia and Mallory. She has a School Nurse Certification from Bluefield College, BS in Nursing from Shepherd University and her Masters in Nursing Care Management. She attends Westview Baptist Church.
Her key scripture is "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7
Mrs. Linda Michael – Administrative Assistant to the Board
Linda Michael is married and has two children who graduated from FCA. She grew up in Altoona, PA and graduated from Lancaster Bible College with a bachelors of science degree in Bible and Christian education. Prior to her work at FCA, she served in various clerical and administrative assistant positions including four years as a Christian education assistant in a Virginia church. Her work at FCA began in 1986 as a part-time bookkeeper; but in 1995 she accepted a new position as an administrative assistant to the FCA Board of Directors, a position which she still holds.
