School Day
Greensburg Campus (Pre-K through Fifth Grade)

- PK 3 & 4 pick up at 2:30pm (parents walk in - see below)

- 4th-5th pick up at 3:10pm
- After care 3:30pm - 5:30pm
Pre-kindergarten 3 & 4 can be picked up starting at 2:30. Parents must come into the school at the west-facing porch entrance to pick up pre-kindergarten students. If an additional sibling is needed parents will get back into their vehicle and pull around the front of the school and join the main elementary pick up lines. All remaining elementary students must be picked up at the main office entrance in the elementary pick up lines per the schedule above. Parents who have students at both campuses will need to determine the order of pick up based on the times above. If you have siblings at multiple grade levels, we recommend that you arrive at the latest time possible. Because of the increased traffic in the parking lot it will be important to follow these guidelines.

Academics
Faith Christian Academy teachers have prepared “Curriculum Maps” for all the courses they teach at each grade level. They utilize the program called, “Curriculum Trak” to map their curriculum goals and objectives. You can view the curriculum maps for each subject area and grade level here through this link:
Elementary Specials
Music and Band (two times each week):
The music curriculum is designed to train students in the basic skills of music and to have them develop an appreciation for music which will honor and glorify Jesus Christ. Fifth grade students take Beginning Band or Strings. Students will have the opportunity to perform at two annual concerts and participate in the school’s fine arts festival.
Art (one time each week):
Art instruction is based on the understanding that God is the creator and man is made in His image. The students will be introduced to the basic elements of art—line, shape, color, texture, etc.
Spanish (one time each week):
Students will be introduced to the fundamental elements of the Spanish language. Basic terminology including days of the week, colors, and numbers will be explored along with some simple conversational phrases.
Physical Education (one or two times each week):
Students will learn fine and gross motor skills through a variety of drills, games, lead-up activities, warm ups, and modified games. A special emphasis will be placed on the development of lifelong sport skills and an appreciation for fitness-related activities.
Computer and Library (two times each week):
The elementary computer class enables students to become familiar with the computer and develop typing skills. The library and computer lab provide teachers with an extension of their classroom for accessing information and technology.
Middle and High School Classes Available:
Middle School: Middle school students may take core academic courses, including reading, language, math, science, history, and Bible. These courses meet every day. all eighth grade students take Algebra I and receive a high school credit. Special classes in the middle school include physical education, computer, band or strings, art, and choir. These classes meet every other day.
High School: High school students take core academic courses and select from numerous electives. Honors and Advanced Placement courses are offered in areas such as chemistry, physics, and calculus. High school credit is offered based on the number of days each week that a class meets.
Athletics: Students in grades 6-12 may participate in interscholastic athletics if they meet the criteria of Faith Christian Academy and the Mason Dixon Christian Conference, the school’s athletic Conference.
