Picture Day: Wednesday, October 17th is Picture Day! Students are allowed to dress up for their pictures as long as they meet the dress code guidelines. Students who do not dress up are still required to wear their normal uniform.

Taco Day: Just a reminder taco slips are due on Wednesday, October 17th.

Square One Art: On Friday your child brought home an order form from Square One Art with products made from his or her artwork. Be sure to check it out and see what amazing work your child is doing in art class! Orders are due by October 26. If you have and questions, contact Mrs. Cooper.

End of The Quarter: The end of the quarter is October 22nd. Report Cards will be posted to RenWeb on October 30th. Reminder that we do not print report cards.

Volleyball Spirit Night: FCA Lady Falcons are having a spirit night at Chick-fil-A on Tuesday, October 23 from 5PM-8PM. Mark your calendars and plan to attend and help them raise 20% of the sales they bring in!

Box Tops: Box Top collection date is October 22nd.

Green Club Initiative: Mrs. Heather Mann and The Green Club are organizing a new recycling program for our school. They will be collecting plastic (everything from bread bags, grocery bags, ziploc bags, and more) for Trex. Trex is running a competition to see which schools can bring in the most plastic by weight. They use the plastic collected to make their decking, benches, and other products. This is a great way to reuse plastic and keep it out of landfills!

The Green Club has placed magnets in homeroom teachers’ mailboxes this afternoon that show what can be recycled with this program. A magnet will be coming home with each student this Friday. Students can bring in plastic from home as well as deposit plastic out of their lunchboxes.

They have placed a bin in the teacher’s lounge, the gym, and in the science lab. For now, feel free to deposit any plastic you accumulate at home in one of those bins. Thanks for helping us Reduce & Recycle!

FCA 29th Annual Auction: We are very excited to bring our auction back to the fall. You should have received your invitation last week in the mail. We hope that you can join us this year for our Faithopoly Benefit Auction on November 9th at the Holiday Inn from 6-9.

We are doing things a little different this year. We are asking for donations of items that are either new or gently used for the auction. This is a perfect time to recycle that Christmas or birthday gift that you received and get a tax donation at the same time:). Our committee has put together a list of suggested items for baskets that we are going to put together. If you have something on the list please sign up and drop off your items at the office. Christmas Concert: Mark your calendars and plan to attend our Christmas Concert on December 3rd at Covenant Baptist Church in Shepherdstown, WV. There will be an opportunity to bid on the Best Seats in the House and Parking for the Christmas Concert at the auction.;)
