Board of Directors

The policy making group of FCA is its Board of Directors. Qualifications for membership to the board of Directors are:

  1. All members of the Board of Directors shall be actively involved in the ministry of FCA for at least one year and be current members of the Association.
  2. All Board members shall have the necessary competencies to credibly discharge the responsibilities of the office of a director.
  3. All members of the Board of Directors shall be faithful members in good standing in one of the area’s fundamental churches.
  4. Each board member shall subscribe in writing that he/she is in full and complete agreement with Articles II and III of this constitution. If at any time the board member no longer agrees with Articles II and III of this constitution, he/she will voluntarily withdraw from the board of directors.

Board members serve on one or more of the following standing committees:

  1. Finance Committee
  2. Building Committee
  3. Education Committee
  4. Development and Public Relations Committee
  5. Spiritual Life Committee

Board Member Bios

Mr. Grant Pryseski – Chairman

Grant PryseskiMr. Pryseski works for the regional Corporate office of Subway Restaurants where he oversees the training of Corporate staff and Franchisees. Mr Pryseski and his wife Kimberly, who teaches first grade at FCA, have two children that graduated from FCA: Kourtney (2016) and Connor (2018). Mr Pryseski currently serves on the Spiritual Life committee. The Pryseski’s are members at Fellowship Bible Church in Shenandoah Junction, WV.

“Kim and I always desired to send our kids to a Christian school. But we found so much more than just a Christian school here at Faith Christian Academy. We found Faculty and Staff not only dedicated to teaching a Biblical worldview, but partnering with us in reinforcing the Christian values and personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ to our kids.”

 


Mr. Albert Wiggins

Mr. Wiggins and his wife, Cheryl, attend Faith Christian Fellowship in Williamsport, MD.  He is a pilot for Southwest Airlines and Cheryl is a math teacher at Martinsburg South Middle School.  They have two kids, Grace and Noah, that attended FCA.  Mr. Wiggins previously served on the FCA board and currently serves as an Elder at Faith Christian Fellowship.

“We decided early on that we wanted our kids to attend a Christian school.  We found FCA and were immediately impressed by the administration and teachers that we met.  We praise God that He lead our family here.  The strong academic and spiritual foundation that our kids received is serving them well in adulthood.  We’ve encouraged many parents to send their kids to FCA and we’re excited to now have our niece attending as well.”

 


Mr. Kurt Tiegs - Secretary

Kurt TiegsMr. Tiegs serves on the Building Committee. He attends Centerpoint Bible Church. His wife, Ramona, is the Pre-K teacher. They have three children that  graduated from Faith and then went on to graduate from college. Mr. Tiegs co-owns Alio Home Improvements and Mountaineer Kitchens and Baths. Mr. Tiegs Says,” FCA has been a blessing to our family in many ways. I am thankful for the Biblical world-view that is taught and teachers that have been more than just  teachers to our girls, they have been their mentors.”


Mr. Jeff Michael

Jeff Michael

Mr. Michael serves as the chair of the Building & Grounds Committee. Mr. Michael attends Independent Bible Church. His wife Kelly is the 5th grade teacher. They have 3 sons that graduated from FCA: Jacob, Joseph, and Jared. Mr. Michael is co-owner of Alio Home Improvements and Mountaineer Kitchens and Baths. He is also a land developer and enjoys managing projects.

“At FCA my wife and I know that our sons received a quality education based upon Biblical principles. They also benefited socially from the Christian atmosphere at the school.”


Mrs. Stacy Boyles - Treasurer

Stacy BoylesStacy and her husband Cliff were married in 2010.  They have two daughters at FCA, Katilynn and Sarah.  Stacy graduated from Shepherd University in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in accounting.  The Boyles are members of Covenant Church. Stacy is employed at Covenant Church as the Office Administrator. 


Mr. Ben DeOms

Ben has lived in Martinsburg nearly all his life.  He graduated from Faith Christian Academy in 2018. Ben has worked in construction since 2016 and is now the Sales Manager at Mountaineer Kitchens and Baths.  Ben has also been a member of the Baker Heights Volunteer Fire Department since 2018.  He is married to Delaney, a nurse at the Martinsburg VA hospital, who has also been in Martinsburg all of her life.  Ben and Delaney are also expecting their first child.  They attend Independent Bible Church in Martinsburg, WV where they originally met in 2014.  Ben also serves on the Education Committee at FCA.  Having graduated from FCA, Ben has seen firsthand the value that FCA has added to his life through a Biblical-based education and wants to pass that along to the next generation.

“I always enjoyed my time at FCA when I was younger, but it was not until after I graduated that I realized the benefits of what I learned and the values that were taught to me while I attended FCA. Those values have helped me succeed in life and have helped me keep a close relationship with the Lord.”


Mr. William "Will" Burner - Vice Chair

Will is from Shepherdstown and has lived in the Eastern Panhandle most of his life. Will has been married to Blythe, who is also from Jefferson County, for 12 years. They have two children, Liam and Elliott, who both attend Faith.  Will has a B.S. from Liberty University and attended law school at WVU.  He is a member of the bar in good standing in WV, VA, and DC.  Will is a member of the Church at Martinsburg. There he serves as the director of community groups and leads a group that meets on Tuesday evenings.  Will also serves on the Development & Public Relations Committee at FCA. 

Since first visiting the school, Will and Blythe knew that’s where they wanted their children to attend. Having been a part of the FCA family for nearly three years now, Will regularly witnesses the effect that a Christian education has on his children. Seeing the impact the school has made on his family, in part, propelled Will’s desire to serve and support Faith. After talking with his wife and seeking the Lord’s guidance in prayer, Will has humbly submitted his willingness to serve on the board of directors. 


Mr. John Ennis 

John was born and raised in Hagerstown, MD. He graduated from Shalom Christian Academy in 2009 and joined the Army National Guard for Communications shortly thereafter. Outside the military,
he has worked in cyber security supporting government agencies since 2014. He married his wife Jessica in 2012 and God blessed them with 3 children. Liam (2nd grade) and Mckenna (Kindergarten) spend most of their days at Faith Christian Academy while Grady (2yrs) spends his time at home with Mom and Dad. Since moving to Martinsburg in June of 2020 the Ennis family has attended Centerpoint Church in Spring Mills and John and Jess have begun to play a small role in the Worship ministry there. Both John and Jessica received Christ as their Savior at a young age and are so thankful for the ways the Lord has worked in their lives and for his unending faithfulness. It is their desire to raise their children to be men and women who live in full surrender to Jesus Christ. John and Jess believe Christ should be at the center of everything we do and they highly value a school that believes the same way.


Dr. Jeremy Todd

Jeremy was born and raised in Henderson, Kentucky. He is the husband of Leslie (17yrs) and father of Bryant who is a 2nd grader at FCA. Jeremy has served as the Teaching Pastor at Harvest Pointe Community Church in Jefferson County since 2016. He has previously pastored in lead and associate roles (Children, Student, and Missions) in Arkansas, Florida and Tennessee. He is a graduate of Union University in Jackson, TN (BA, 2002); The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY (MA in Christian Education, 2008 & Doctor of Educational Ministry, 2014). He is a contributing writer for The Gospel Coalition and Southern Equip. “We are thankful for FCA’s commitment to provide a Christ-centered education that promotes excellence in academics and personal character. Seeing our son flourish since coming to FCA confirms it was the best choice for our family.”
