Mr. Eric Kerns
Administrator

Eric L. Kerns is the administrator at Faith Christian Academy.  He began teaching here in 1989 and became the school’s administrator in 1995.  From 2000-2002 he taught in the physical education program at Baptist Bible College in Pennsylvania.  He returned to Faith Christian Academy in 2002 once again as the school’s administrator.

Mr. Kerns graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education in 1988.  He then attended Eastern Illinois University and received a master’s degree in exercise physiology.  He has also earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from West Virginia University.  Eric serves on the ACSI Regional Accreditation Commission.

He and his wife, Cynthia, have a son and daughter who graduated from Faith.  “The Lord has blessed my family with the opportunity to serve him at Faith.  I can think of no better place to have my own children.  That was one of the driving factors that brought me back to Faith.  I am looking forward to what the Lord will do in the lives of our students and their families in the years to come.”

Mr. Jeffrey Baker
Business Manager

Mr. Jeffrey Baker is the business manager at Faith.  He began this position in November 2003.  He attended school at Faith from kindergarten through twelfth grade and graduated as valedictorian in 1998.

After graduation, Mr. Baker attended Lancaster Bible College in Pennsylvania for one year.  He then transferred to Shepherd University.  He graduated summa cum laude from Shepherd in May 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration (finance concentration) and accounting.  He was a McMurran Scholar and a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society at Shepherd.  He earned a Master’s of Business Administration from Shepherd in August 2013.

Mr. Baker participated in numerous sports during his time at Faith.  In fact, he is Faith’s all-time leading scorer in basketball.  He also played soccer and baseball at the school.  He now enjoys playing basketball, golf, softball, and tennis.

Mr. Baker is married and has two children.

Mr. Brock Keppley
High School Dean of Students

Mr. Brock Keppley was born and raised in Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania.  He graduated from Conrad Weiser High School.  He then attended Appalachian Bible College and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Bible and Pastoral Studies.  A year after he graduated from college he, and his wife, Amy, were married.  They then moved to Illinois, where he was a youth pastor at a small Bible church for four years.

While in Illinois he was given the opportunity to teach at a small Christian school.  At this time he felt God calling him into the teaching ministry full-time.  He then moved to West Virginia and began teaching at Faith in 2003.  His wife Amy teaches kindergarten at Faith. They have three sons.

“I enjoy the opportunity to influence students to grow in their Christian life.  I also have a great love for students and those are the two big reasons why I feel God has led me into the teaching ministry.”

Mrs. Theresa Monro
Elementary Principal

Theresa Monro was born and raised in Martinsburg, West Virginia, and attended Heritage Academy in Hagerstown, MD.   After high school, she attended Baptist Bible College and earned a bachelor’s degree in Bible with an emphasis in elementary education.  In 1994, Mrs. Monro began teaching at Faith Christian Academy in the fifth grade.  Three years later, Mrs. Monro married and moved out of the area.

She taught in two different Christian schools for the next two years until finally coming back to Faith.  She and her husband reside in Martinsburg.  They have a daughter, Anastasia Grace. In 2005, Mrs. Monro earned a master of science degree in Christian school education from Baptist Bible College & Seminary Graduate School.

“I became interested in the Christian school education ministry as a teacher’s aid in high school. As a teenager, I was very involved in Child Evangelism Fellowship for 5 summers and felt the Lord calling me to pursue a teaching ministry. I feel very honored that the Lord has allowed me to become a part of this ministry at Faith.”

Mr. Brian Hobbs
Director of Athletics and Guidance

Coach Hobbs grew up in Williamstown, NJ where he attended Victory Christian School. He graduated from Clarks Summit University in Clarks Summit, Pa with a major in Bible with an emphasis in physical education and health. He did his graduate work at West Virginia University and holds a master’s degree in sport management. He and his wife Joy have three children who all attend Faith.

He is in Christian ministry because the Lord got a hold of his life through Christian high school and college athletics. He had wonderful coaches and teachers that greatly influenced his life. His passion is to do the same for the young people at Faith.

Mrs. Jennifer Stanley
Director of Development

Mrs. Jennifer Stanley was born and raised in Martinsburg. She attended Shepherd University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She spent 9 years in the banking industry as a loan officer and 6 years at a local accounting firm as their marketing relationship manager and firm administrator.  She began working at Faith in August 2014 as the Director of Development.

Mrs. Stanley attends Fellowship Bible Church.  She and her husband Mike reside in Martinsburg with their two sons, Landon and Logan.
